Lithium batteries, including those found in disposable vapes, e-cigarettes, power banks, and rechargeable devices, can ignite if crushed, damaged, or exposed to heat during collection and processing. A single battery can cause a serious fire in a waste collection vehicle or recycling facility.

• Never place batteries, vapes, or electrical items in your household or commercial waste bins.
• Remove batteries from devices where possible and store them safely until disposal.
• Bring batteries and vapes to an approved recycling or take-back point.
